Contracts For Goats And Community Building
Below are contractual agreements for the EB Ranch San Clemente Island goats. I plan on offering a program where people can obtain my SCI Goats at no cost, but only if they are committed to preserving the Tepper Line, long term color work, and positive community building.
I have been actively involved in building a community around the SCI goat breed and Tepper Line on a more local and regional level by supporting and working in solidarity with other endangered livestock breeders. Even though this may sound excessive, I want to safeguard that community from racially motivated confrontation or any sort of threat or harassment.
Asking for solidarity against bigotry should not be a big thing to ask from people when working with a goat breed where diversity is paramount.

Community Acknowledgement
To move forward toward positive change, we have to acknowledge our history, become aware of our social positions, and work on critical self-awareness. Community building includes supporting those who have been harmed by hate and ensuring both physical and psychological safety. While this website and farmstead are centered around the San Clemente Island goat breed, I will do everything in my power to make sure people feel safe when being involved with the EB Ranch Farmstead.
Any threats or negative adversity to friends and the community will be diligently blocked. In short, bigoted ideologies of any kind, no matter how you sugarcoat them, are not welcome here.
It is a monumental process not only to foster and create a solid future for these endangered goats, but also to make sure these goats go to homes where more positive community building can grow. These two goals mesh well together to help create fertile ground for diversity of every kind.
Harmful interactions of any kind will not be tolerated, so we can allow genuine growth to happen.
